Mahatma Gandhi Marg (MG Road):MG Road or Mahatma Gandhi Road previously called James Street is one amongst the busiest roads of Indore city and a most important shopping street within the city. Length of the route is 8.6 km. It starts from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International airport and ends up in the life line of town i.e. A.B. Road on Palasia Square. Bada Ganpati

Indore is historically attached to Sikhism. It has numerous Gurudwaras. Gurdwara Imli Sahib is Sikh shrine situated It is the intersection of M.G. Road and Netaji Subhash Chandra Marg and is regionally called Bada Ganpati square. It’s a busy junction with commercial and religious traffic because of the well known temple of bada ganpati on the junction. Landmark is Bada Ganpati Mandir.

 

Malharganj

It is the oldest market and one amongst the foremost dense areas of Indore wherever M.G. Road becomes so narrow due to congestion and dense markets like sitla mata bazaar, cloth market, sarafa, etc. Landmarks are Sarafa and Chhipa bakhal.


 

Rajwada

It is the centre of Indore and adjoining state highway 27 to Ujjain and connect north town to south town. It’s the busiest pedestrian junction on M.G Road and in Indore also. Landmarks are Rajwada, Khajuri Bazaar, Krishnapura chattris and Khan Stream.

 


Regal

It is a huge spherical round after which two lanes M.G. Road turns into a six lanes express road. The circle connect east town to west and old to new. Major roads decussate on regal Junction and contiguous areas are R.N.T Marg (towards Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya), Station Road (towards Indore Jn), Park Road and YN Road (toward Holkar and Central Library.

Indraprasth

It is a junction with massive malls, branded showrooms and wide roads create M.G. Road a fashion street. Landmarks are Pizza Hut, Pantaloons, Big Bazaar, Treasure Island, Indraprasth Tower, Apollo Tower, Globus, PVR, Mc Donalds, etc. Many Indian cities have MG road, and generally there's no linkage between these varied roads.
